Ashley successfully defended her Dissertation Proposal entitled Chronic Stress, Depression and Undiagnosed Diabetes and Control in the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL).

YEAR 2023
Ashley was awarded the Scholar Award from the Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine for her abstract "The Association of Depressive Symptoms and Objective vs. Subjective Stress with Diagnosed vs. Undiagnosed Type 2 Diabetes in the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL) Sociocultural Ancillary Study (SCAS)."​
